I am betting you have never heard of this movie, I certainly hadn’t, which is why it was such a surprise when it turned out to be gripping.
Exam starts in a dark, modernly furnished room where eight people are waiting. It becomes clear, shortly, that they are about to take an exam. The tension is palpable and we learn that this group of people are the finalists for a very coveted position. These eight people have reached the last stage of their assessment program. Their final task is cryptic, they have 80 minutes to answer the question on the exam paper in front of them without leaving the room. The catch – the paper is empty.
They are essentially in an escape room and have to use their wits and resources in hand to get out. And it all begins with an empty piece of paper – what is the question and what is its answer? And now you are hooked.
Similar to any closed-room mystery, there is an element of psychoanalysis and human dynamics at play. Four men and four women, different ethnicity and varying personalities – it’s like hunger games for a job interview
The performances are average, some actors doing better than the others but in all adequate. The script is actually good and quite edgy. The movie is not brilliant, but it’s worth your time.

You moved from mainstream movies to psychological thrillers haven’t you 🙂 I’ve tried to get myself to watch Black Swan but couldn’t. You definitely should watch The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo…thats a murder mystery/thriller.
@Zoya – 🙂 not really..it just sounded interesting ! I will watch “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” once the hype dies down
