It’s nice to know that the circus is not dead. “Cirque du Soleil” or ‘Circus of the Sun’ retains the traditional aspects of the ageless crowd puller with a juggler, acrobat, dancer, trapeze artists, and tight rope walkers. It bumps up the experience several notches higher with fabulous choreography, music and art direction. The use of projectors and laser lighting brings a mystic and ethereal quality to the performance.
It’s pure entertainment for 90 minutes where you can shut off your mind and open your eyes. There are enough jaw-dropping acts to keep you “wowed” for the duration and at times there appears to be too much going on at the same time. The clowns are adorable and get the most laughs out of the audience.
There is something magical about the experience that stays with you. After have seen Zarkana in NYC, I caught KURIOS in Los Angeles. Each performance has an underlying theme that creates a unique world on the stage for the audience to immerse in. I am really looking forward to catching a performance with my 5-year-old son now.
Thing to Note
Cirque Du Soleil is a large worldwide company and does performances in more than 200 cities in the world. You can catch most of them in Las Vegas. Much like its traditional roots, this circus travels, so your town may be next. To know if there is a performance coming close to you, go here
Booking a ticket
The tickets can be fairly steep so look out for Groupon. If in Las Vegas, always check for a deal at Tix4tonight at their booth(s) on the strip.

It was truly amazing to see acrobatics of such magnitude not to mention the gothic catchy musical scores. 🙂 I enjoyed every moment of this show and looking forward to seeing more. I hear their shows in Vegas are even grander.
